Written for Continuum Contemporary Music

With this project, I am exploring extended time and resonant vessels with new works for chamber ensembles.  The first work in this project collection is turning for Continuum Ensemble.

“In spring, the winter ice melts, and the warm and cold of the lake intermingle. In summer … a green froth of algae caps the surface … and when it cools in autumn, the green disappears. The leaves flash red and gold. And the water ‘turns’.” ~ Jesscia J Lee

This piece imagines “turning” from a “frog’s eye view” – the way the water within a lake changes with the seasons..
